28 Couples took part in the Easter mixed competition on April 5th. Given recent weather the groups were thankful for a dry, albeit windy, day. There were several competitive looking teams from the draw and while the prospect of playing without the aid(?) of the winter mats caused unwanted novelty for some, it was a delight to be playing competitive golf on real greens again. The format was 18 holes of Greensomes. After the competition, whatever the performance and result, an excellent Carvery was waiting for the teams as they finished. It was a fun competition from which everyone appeared to have a good time. Thanks to Muriel Fraser for organising. Next Bank Holiday Mixed is Monday 3rd May.
