Introduction

Astbury is a testing parkland course  located on  the outskirts of the quiet village of Astbury in the beautiful South Cheshire countryside. The course comprises tree lined fairways with some testing holes including the par five 12th which requires a long carry over a ravine from the tee. Water comes into play on 7 holes and the undulating terrain is a good test for your short game. The course is divided by the Macclesfield canal which plays an important part alongside holes twelve and thirteen. The course is maintained to an extremely high standard with well protected, fast greens.

A welcome from our captains for 2009/2010.

Our club captains this year are Peter Bozon and Sue Bentley who were welcomed into their roles, with great pride, in October 2009. Below they give you a personal welcome and a brief introduction to our club and its values.

Captain

Pete Bozon

Welcome to Astbury Golf Club, our gem of a golf course in the beautiful South Cheshire countyside.

You will see from the History section on the Web site that we have good reason to be proud of our golf club  which opened in 1922, and we are both deeply honoured to be this year's Captains.

Astbury is a friendly club and we pride ourselves on the good atmosphere, excellent facilities and great people that form the club and its membership. But it is the course that is our greatest asset and the whole team here puts its heart and soul into making this the centre of a great experience for existing members and visitors alike.

We pride ourselves in making Astbury a good test of your golf and a good test of our hospitality. Whether you are browsing in the Pro's shop, playing our fine course or having a drink or meal in the Clubhouse, we hope you enjoy your time with us, because you are truly welcome.

Lady Captain

Sue Bentley
