"Approximately 20 years ago a golf society was formed as the Astbury Nomads.  It arose from a combination of the players in the Holmes Chapel Cricket Club and Astbury Golf Club Members.  Each September a party of approx. 24 members visited Llandudno for 3 days of golf.  In 2005? it was decided to discontinue the trip.  Last year, 2009, it was decided to have a reunion and it was so successful that it was repeated again recently.  Our 3 days were again  a success and it was agreed to repeat the trip in 2011.  Two Astbury members were the organisers, ' Bob Egerton and Arthur Stubbs. The attached collage includes 1 or 2 who were not in the original Astbury Nomads but came to make up the 24." Jack Moss October 2010.
