Astbury Golf Course is a good test for all levels of golf and whilst undulating it is by no means hilly, with the 3rd, 9th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 18th holes being the heart of the test - manage your round well on these holes and you are well placed for a good golf score. The Mens' Par from the White Tees is 71 and a SSS of 72, with Seniors Par and SSS of 70 and Ladies Par and SSS of 73.

The major focus is in the course condition but additionally there is an emphasis on making the course a nice place to be; for example there are a growing number of animal wood carvings around the area by the 10th and 12th Tees.
Natural obstacles are a feature of the course though with mature trees and the canal running through its heart. In preparing for the challenge of the course don't overlook the extensive practice facilities that are situated just across the road. Without doubt these are the envy of most clubs in the Cheshire area.
