My wife and I joined In April 2021, having previously been members of a number of other golf clubs. We have found it very easy to mix and join in the social events, making new friends in the process. The course is kept in tip top condition and provides an excellent and enjoyable test of your game.....
.. I joined from a local club and my experience has been entirely positive. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and I have quickly integrated into the club and made new friends. There are a good mix of competitions, social games through the week. Every time I play I am reminded how lucky we are at Astbury......
Competitions -:
The men’s section has some 400 active players of all ages and abilities and organises a range of qualifying and non-qualifying competitions throughout the year. The majority of these are held at the weekend, mainly on Sundays, and include Medals, Stablefords, better-ball competitions etc. the Captain’s and President’s competitions are particularly well supported.
In addition, a number of “Play When You Can” competitions are arranged in the week.
A match play league and several “fun” events are held in the winter.
A series of club knockouts are run throughout the season, these are concluded on Finals Day in early September.
Astbury has a long association with “North Staffs and District Golf League” and enters two teams. Games are played on a home and away basis either as single or four ball better ball matches, with the annual award presentation evening held in December.
In addition we run a men’s friendly team, again on a home and away basis against three local clubs. And for the "inner man" a breakfast before the match.
As of July 2023 The Astbury A team are in the Premier Division of the NSDL and the B team are in the 4th division of the NSDL

A men’s roll up is organised three days a week (Mon. Weds. & Fri.) and is open to all. A great way for new members to meet fellow golfers.
In addition our professional organises a number of “new members” semi competitive events.
