Hand in hand with our investment in the very best machinery, materials and greens staff we are now entering our 8th year of significant investment into enhancing the course design and playability - with over 28 redesigned and reconstructed bunkers, new paths, tees and course drainage. Our greens are the best they’ve ever been throughout the year, thanks to a concerted investment programme of deep aeration, feeding and grass care. The positive feedback we receive from visitors to our course, and our increase in new members, is the very best measure of that success. There is no better accolade then to be able to say that in 2022 (our Centenary Year) we are proud to be the hosts for the Cheshire County Men's and Senior's Match Play Finals.

The signature hole for the golf course is the 12th, which is a strong par 5 requiring a long carry over a ravine from the tee. It is closely rivalled by the 3rd which is a par 5 in the opposite direction and the 18th with a double dog leg. Water comes into play on 7 holes, and the course is an easy walk with just a few slopes in the terrain to provide a good test of your short game.

Each playing section of the club runs programs of competitions and fun events. The culmination of many of these being Finals Day.
In 2021 the club ran a centenary fund to celebrate our Centenary Year in 2022 - welcoming voluntary donations from members - this reached an impressive total close to £ 50,000. The overall project is now completed, Phase 1 redesigned the 1st tee area with Dry Stone dwarf walls, an impressive central planter, with a centenary commemorative stone plaque and improved overall walkway.
Phase 2 (again funded from donations), delivered a huge improvement to the 18th Tee walkoff, with new glass balustrade around the patio (upstairs and down), a continuance of the dry stone wall around the putting green and a new shoe & trolley clean off area.
Members and visitors alike are delighted with the results.
